Your role

• Analyze low to medium-level discrepancies between SAP and OneSource (OTD) tax calculation relative to various data elements (i.e., Ship to, tax authority, UNSPSC, customer exemption certificate, general ledger accounts, etc.) per validation against source documents (i.e., invoices, proof of delivery, etc). 
• Analyzes data for appropriate tax technical treatment and timely and accurate reporting. 
• Prepares data analytics for reporting to Global Indirect Tax organization, interdependent processes, and other relevant decision-makers when requested with guidance from a Specialist or Supervisor
• Prepares VAT account reconciliation (eRecon/TRecs) for low to medium-risk tax returns.

About you

• Bachelor-level University College Degree or higher in Tax or Accounting preferred. Applicable professional certification preferred (CPA).
• A minimum of 0-1 year of relevant working experience is normally required.
• Basic knowledge of theories/concepts and practices of Indirect Tax, particularly VAT/GST.
• Develops knowledge of tax-related data including the material master, vendor master, and financial master data.
• Develops knowledge of the assigned area of responsibility and 3M/multi-national company (MNC) structure, organization, and business; 
• Develops knowledge of ALM QC testing application and 3M testing procedures;
• Basic knowledge in SAP, Business Intelligence (BI)/ Business Warehouse (BW) and other connected applications [OneSource (Sabrix), Ariba, LCR Dixon, etc] is an advantage.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office, Alteryx, and other data analytics and collaboration tools;
• Ability to communicate in written and spoken English.
