ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

CONDUCTING SOFTWARE TESTING:

• Conduct software testing, developed or acquired by CMIT, and track and document the defects and fixes in software application development.
• Ensure that every testing activity is observed and aligned to business criteria and follows the guidelines, procedures, and software quality standards.
• Contribute to developing and establishing software quality assurance standards and measures.
• Provide walkthroughs, guidance, and assistance to Product Specialists related to testing activities, issue resolution, and the like.
• Develop and maintain good working relationships, rapport, and camaraderie with colleagues, team members, and stakeholders, among others.
• Be proactive, collaborative, open-minded, and willing to share ideas and insights to generate valuable feedback from colleagues and team members.

PLANNING AND DESIGN:

• Create test scripts, test cases, and test data for manual and/or automated testing based on business requirements and test plans.
• Verify the adequacy of the test environment based on minimum hardware and software (operating system and 3rd-party applications) requirements of the software application.
• Develop and write test plans and scripts for tracking defects and fixes in product development, software application development, information systems, and operations systems.
• Create and communicate test plans and scripts that will determine optimal application performance according to specifications and revise them as needed.

TEST EXECUTION:

• Conduct testing of software developed or acquired by CMIT and track and document defects and fixes in software application development.
• Ensure that every testing activity is properly monitored, observed, and aligned to business criteria and follows the guidelines, procedures, and software quality standards.
• Communicate any bugs, incidents, risks, issues, and other inter-operability flaws to developers or the team.
• Prepare test incident reports and test incident logs for any bugs, incidents, risks, issues, and other inter-operability flaws in the software application.
• Generate proof or evidence that the software application was actually tested, passed, or failed during the course of testing activities.

TEST CYCLE CLOSURE:

• Transmit application patch/package, test scripts, results, and other documentary requirements to the repository.

OTHER DUTIES:

Responsible in implementing the company’s Privacy Policy.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Graduate of BS Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Information Technology or Computer Programming Major Course
• Competent understanding of the system development life cycle
• Strong knowledge of system testing best practices and methodologies
• Proven data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities
• Direct hands-on experience with ad hoc query programs, automated testing tools, and reporting software
• Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
• Technically competent with various software programs, including Microsoft Office 2010/365, email clients, and Microsoft Visio
