Your role 

As a Graduate Technology Systems Engineer, you will be expected to hit the ground running on one of Dyson’s many live projects, applying your university knowledge from the get-go. Working together with a larger project team in the Technology Development Department, you will have your own set of project deliverables and the chance to take ownership of how these are achieved. Some of your tasks could include:

• Collaborating with a project team to deliver optimal flow and thermal performance for new Dyson products, aligning with the product vision using simulations, experiments, and analytical tools.
• Proactively assess and mitigate risks, while solving any issues that could impact product performance or customer satisfaction.
• Take ownership of your career development and strive for progression into a Subject Matter Expert role
• Embrace a mindset of continuous improvement, challenging the status quo and supporting initiatives that drive business excellence

About you

• Graduating by August 2023.
• Working towards or have achieved a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• Applicants having a master’s degree are welcome to apply.
• Have a strong interest in fluid dynamics and thermodynamics and have taken modules related to it.
• Hands-on experience of building and working on components/parts/systems is a bonus.
• Experience in running Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations.
• Capable of thinking ‘out of the box’ and approaching problems from different angles to develop effective solutions.
• Motivated and committed to your personal and professional growth, willing to invest time in continuous learning and development.
• To be eligible you will need to have no more than two years of relevant work experience post-graduation (PhD students are not eligible for the graduate programs).
• Fresh graduate with excellent academic results and demonstrated work relevant through projects, internships, or as part of your extra-curricular activities.
