Project Assistant for Strategic Planning Intern null

Your Role 

Research and Content Production

• Assist project managers in the preparation of documents (project briefs, research design, analysis, reports, production briefs, memos, letters, or waivers) through desk research  and internal meetings and ensure the quality of these documents
• Assist in developing research strategies and planning for potential and existing clients and in the conduct of fieldwork, or pre-and post-testing of materials, including analysis of statistical information and data for use in briefings, publications, reports, and other communication documents
• Assist in developing simple, templated written content such as case studies or newsletter content if necessary
• Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports

Documentation and Archiving

• Archive documents and contacts
• Assist in the development of a cohesive archive and database for the Strategic Planning unit
• Collect and make arrangements for distribution of strategic planning materials as needed during both internal and external meetings, trainings, or workshops

About You

To apply for this role, you need to have the following eligibility criteria:

• Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. This includes the capacity to draft professional documents, emails, and reports.
• Detail-oriented: Must have a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks and documents.
• Time Management: Can manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work efficiently to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Software/Tools: Familiarity with relevant software or tools for data collection, project management, research, and content creation (including but not limited to Microsoft suite, Google Suite, and Canva). 

Core Competencies (should have technical know-how of the following):

• Developing methods for collecting data (using tools like Google Forms or Menti) such as surveys, opinion polls, and questionnaires
• Collecting and analyzing data to identify meaningful insights that will inform overall marketing strategy
• Researching consumer opinions and marketing strategies, and proposing adjustments to current strategies
• Creating graphic representations of data and translating complex research into easily readable content for stakeholders and other departments
• Writing content in different formats, including research reports, pitch presentations, social media and newsletter content
• Desk and field research strategies and processes
• Administrative tasks
