Your role

First Circle is offering a Graduate Program for aspiring Credit Underwriter in Taguig, Philippines.

The main responsibilities of the role are:

• Evaluating the creditworthiness of SME loan applicants by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information.
• Assessing the risk profiles of applicants, identifying potential risks and mitigating factors.
• Conducting comprehensive due diligence on borrowers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather information and develop a comprehensive understanding of borrowers' businesses and financial positions.
• Preparing credit assessments and recommendations for loan approvals or declines, based on sound judgment and adherence to credit policies.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of loan applications and credit decisions.
• Continuously monitoring and reviewing the credit quality of existing borrowers.
• Contributing to the development and enhancement of credit underwriting processes and systems.

About you

Essential requirements for this role include:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial statements and assess creditworthiness.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Desire to learn and develop a career in credit underwriting and risk assessment.
