Your role & responsibilities

As a People Engagement Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the Senior People Engagement Lead to help identify, plan, create, and conduct necessary employee engagement activities or programs that support the people inside the organization. Not only will you assist in executing events, but you will be able to support People and Culture in their initiatives to promote health and wellness, people engagement, and lifestyle.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting in managing overall employee engagement events
• Supporting event logistics including but not limited to vendor sourcing and management, timeline management, project planning, and budget management
• Coordinating with internal teams and facilities to deliver successful onsite events
• Capturing recaps that support archiving processes to ensure ROI on events
• Drafting, editing, and publishing content for KMC’s communication platforms
• Demonstrates our KMC core values

About you

• Is a fresh and fast thinker who embraces challenges and new methods of thinking
• On track to complete an undergraduate degree from an accredited university/college with a degree in Marketing, Human Resources
• Relevant experience in event production including coordination and project management
• Excellent writing and communications skills (creativity welcome!)
• Experience with web and digital content publishing platforms such as SharePoint, Mailchimp, or similar.
• Skilled with Microsoft Office suite
• Passion for people and employee experience
• In-depth experience and working knowledge of Canva
• Strong attention to detail and proofing capability
• Up to date with trends
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
• An active member of school organizations or other extracurricular activities
