About Kumon

Kumon is an educational program that was founded by Toru Kumon in Japan in 1958. The program is designed to help students, primarily children, develop their math and reading skills through a structured and self-paced learning approach.

Your responsibilities

  • Prepare and create learning opportunities for Instructors and Center assistants, including the following activities –
    • Creating with teammates the instructional storyline based on the company’s annual direction
    • Conducting research through Center visits and consultations with Instructors
    • Providing assistance to field staff in researching, preparing materials for, and conducting learning opportunities
  • Assist field members in the coordination of voluntary study groups or mentoring groups and/or monitor instructor meetings
  • Consult with ADM to schedule center visits and sharpen observation skills and knowledge on the study situation of Kumon students
  • Assist instructors, staff, and assistants regarding worksheet content and instruction concerns

Training & development

All Kumon associates will have an opportunity to go through a series of training to acquire knowledge and deepen their understanding of the Kumon Method through Kumon worksheets study, Kumon Education Center attachment, participation in Instruction seminars, etc.

About you

Skills Preference:

  • Has a strong interest in research, writing, and creation of training and seminar materials.
  • High proficiency in English.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to work in a team and at the same time, work on own initiative without supervision.
  • Computer literate in a variety of packages including Word, PowerPoint Excel, and video editing software.

Qualification (e.g Bachelor’s/College Degree):

  • Bachelor’s degree holder of any course
  • Background in Linguistics, Education, or Communication Arts is an advantage)

Career Level (e.g. 1-4 Years Experienced Employee):

  • At least one (1) year of work-related experience, but fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.
