    Job Overview

    Sales Operations (APAC) provides critical and timely front-line operational support to APAC Coverage Team and other cross-functional teams within MSCI, ensuring a smooth end-to-end sales process experience for all MSCI’s clients. The team operates during APAC business hours, from 9 am to 6 pm Manila Time, to support Australia and New Zealand, Greater China, North Asia, and South Asia regions. The team is mainly involved in the pre-sale and post-sale operational aspects, namely, (1) contract creation and management, (2) product and service activation and deactivation, and (3) deal management and reconciliation, and such tasks mainly revolve around the Salesforce CRM platform. The team is also involved in multiple ad hoc projects covering process and system enhancement initiatives, and new product testing to name a few, with the main objective of improving the overall MSCI client experience.

    Responsibilities

    Contract Creation and Management

    • Provide day-to-day support to Coverage Team in connection with the preparation and booking of contracts across all business units within MSCI
    • Partner with Coverage, Legal, and other cross-functional teams to improve efficiency when drafting legal contracts

    Product/Service Activation and Deactivation

    • Grant access and set delivery of products, data, and software.
    • Work with Client Service, Product, and Coverage teams in resolving product delivery issues.
    • Work with Sales in accurately removing clients’ access to products and services.

    Deal Management

    • Ensure contractual/commercial details are accurately captured in Salesforce.
    • Work closely with Revenue and Sales Coverage in closing deals and resolving contractual discrepancies to ensure deals are closed on time.
    • Partner with the Coverage Team with the extension or cancellation of licenses.
    • Collaborate with Sales Reporting and Revenue Team on actions involving adjustments on closed deals.
    • Check and manage notices of renewals are communicated to the client within a strict timeframe.
    • Liaise with Billing and Account Receivables Team to ensure prompt resolution of client payments or contractual issues including refunds and unapplied cash receipts.

    Ad Hoc

    • Work with Product Management on product and process improvement initiatives
    • Identify gaps, propose solutions, and liaise with cross-functional teams to use technology or remove obstacles in improving process efficiencies and automation.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Legal Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field, preferably with prior sales support experience
    • Also open to fresh graduates
    • Basic to advance knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, such as MS Word, PPT, Excel
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
    • Experience with Salesforce.com is a plus
    • Must be amenable to work from home or work from the office whenever needed by the business
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and escalate potential issues
    • Investigative approach, strong attention to detail, and consistently demonstrates the high quality of work
    • Initiates process enhancements/improvements and demonstrates strong ownership of projects
