2022 Independence Consultation and Compliance Associate null

Independence is an important consideration in the development and operation of AC Manila and can impact the achievement of its strategic success and quality objectives. Given this importance, the Independence Consultation and Compliance Associate has a key role in assisting the Independence Manager in managing, advising and communicating with AC Manila Leadership in a proactive way, as well as identifying and helping address the business issues which could be impacted by Independence. The position reports to the Independence Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Independence Manager in enhancing the culture of awareness of Independence policy and rules across all Lines of Service
• Communicate regularly with Independence Manager and/or PRI team to discuss independence compliance testing, trends and other results
• Assist in developing and implementing an annual independence training program
• Assist in training all new personnel on the relevant Independence requirements
• Assist the Independence Manager in carrying out an annual independence risk assessment
• Review and evaluate independence responses and reports
• Respond to independence related queries
• Performs other logistical, administrative and ad hoc task

Qualifications:

• Education Background: Bachelor's Degree holder of Accountancy
• Certification/s: CPA license (preferred)
• Work Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years experience, experience in both external and internal auditing
• Specific Technical Skills: Strong technical knowledge in GAAP/IFRS and GAAS, Proficient in MS Office applications (e.g. MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and Google tools & applications
• Other Capabilities:
  • Alteryx & UI Path exposure is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and detailed oriented
  • Good project management skills (e.g. can handle various administrative and
    ad hoc tasks)
  • Ability to identify risks in business process
  • Strong independent decision-making ability and comfort with issue spotting
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of management
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English
