About First Gen

First Gen Corporation is a power generation company under the Lopez Group of Companies – the same Group that holds ABS-CBN Corporation, Rockwell Land Corporation, and more. Ever since our establishment in 1998, First Gen has remained committed to its mission: to forge collaborative pathways towards a decarbonized and regenerative future. We are currently the largest producer of renewable energy in the country, powering 21% of the Philippines with clean energy. We run on absolutely zero % coal power, producing 3,668.2 megawatts of electricity only through 100% clean energy produced by our wind and solar farms, hydro and geothermal power plants, and our natural gas-fired power plants all across the country.

Your Role

As an Accounting intern, you are expected to actively participate in programs and activities that are intended to provide an overview of how our Comptrollership Department operates in the business. This includes learning about real-life application of accounting theories and being exposed to best practices in the workplace.

Below are the deliverables you will be expected to accomplish should you join our team:

  • Financial Reporting: preparation and analysis of financial statements, evaluation of accounting policies and reporting compliance, identification, review, and clean-up of books of accounts.
  • Finance Business Processes: participation in projects related to automation, digitization, process and policy designs, data migration and systems implementation
  • Tax Compliance: preparation, analysis, and reconciliation of BIR remittances, tax returns, and schedules

Requirements & Preferred Skills:

  • 3rd or 4th year student from a BS Accountancy/BS Business Administration and Accountancy program
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheet
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills
