Established in 2018, Manulife IT Delivery Center (MITDC) serves as the global financial services provider's fintech arm, with the goal of aiding Manulife in achieving its aspiration of becoming a digital customer leader.
Since its inception in Manila, MITDC's primary mission has been the development, implementation, and support of Manulife's regional digital platforms for partner life insurance businesses throughout Asia. Over time, its responsibilities have expanded to encompass the provision of essential technology support not only to partners within the Canada Division but also to Manulife's Global Wealth Asset Management (GWAM) business.
As of the end of September 2022, the Manila-based MITDC team boasts a workforce of over 650 employees who are responsible for various IT services, including architecture design, application development, testing, and production support, among other vital functions.
